What is a UFO?
A UFO is an aerial object or phenomenon unidentified at the time of observation. Most are explained after analysis; a minority remain unexplained.
Do governments acknowledge UFOs?
Yes. The Pentagon released authenticated videos and created AARO to analyze reports. France runs GEIPAN within its space agency CNES.
UFO vs UAP — what is the difference?
UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) is the newer official term, broader: it covers underwater and space phenomena, not only airborne ones.
