Open official file ↗The U.S. government has opened the fifth tranche of its PURSUE archive. VIDEO OVNI checked all 41 entries on the official portal: 22 PDFs, 3 images and 16 videos from the Department of War, FBI, CIA, Department of State and Executive Office of the President.

On August 7, 2026, the Department of War announced the fifth publication of UAP records under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, or PURSUE. Its official release says further tranches are being prepared.
At the time of our review, the catalog displayed 41 records marked “8/7/26 — Release 05”: 22 PDF documents, 3 images and 16 videos. They span historical records and contemporary reports from the 1940s through 2026.
Declassified describes the records’ release status. It does not mean that every statement inside has been validated or that every case has reached a definitive physical explanation.
PURSUE is the public gateway overseen by the Department of War with support from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Its stated task is to identify, review, declassify and publish federal UAP material.
The portal describes these archived materials as unresolved cases: the government says it cannot make a definitive determination from the available evidence. Insufficient data alone can keep a case in that category.
AARO remains the all-domain anomaly analysis office. Several modern videos in this tranche are reports routed through military channels and associated with unresolved UAP records.
The White House is part of the interagency effort announced in May, but Release 05 is not a collection of 41 White House files. One entry is attributed to the Executive Office of the President: EOP-UAP-D001, a NASC inquiry into the November 1963 Bahia incident in Brazil.
The FBI contributes FD-302 interview records, digital renderings tied to witness accounts and a 2026 thermal video. These renderings visualize descriptions; they are not photographs of the reported objects.
The CIA contributes two records concerning a 1965 report near Puerto Rico. The State Department contributes two diplomatic cables about Bahia in November 1963. The Department of War supplies the historical studies, the Gulf of Oman report and the tranche’s other fifteen military videos.
Known limitations matter: several clips are short, infrared or secondary recordings; complete distances and sensor parameters are not always public. Sensor artifacts, aircraft, balloons, drones, astronomical phenomena and perspective effects remain hypotheses until excluded.
Unresolved means no definitive determination was possible from the available data. It does not mean non-human technology, extraterrestrial craft or proof of a hidden program.
The release still matters because it provides identifiers, agencies and reviewable media. That supports stronger independent scrutiny than anonymous fragments circulating on social platforms.
These three .img files are official FBI digital renderings based on accounts. They are not photographs of the phenomena.
